Ash Wolf Character Guide

Ash Wolves patrol the grey meadows along the southern road of Ashfall Vale in packs of two to four. They are aggressive on sight — the only common monster in the region that will chase you across the whole map.

Wolves are fire-weak, so an Oil Flask on your blade shortens the fight dramatically. The Iron Sword remains the better tool over the bow: wolves sidestep arrows while closing in, but their lunge has a long recovery. Sidestep the lunge, then land your full three-hit combo during the recovery window.

Ash Wolf pelts sell for 20 gold each and are the densest early-game income per kill in the Vale. A rare Alpha Pelt drops from pack leaders — the Vale blacksmith wants three of them for the Ashfall Leathers set.

Wolf pelts are the intended funding route for your first armor set, and the pack-hunting AI teaches the pull-one-at-a-time discipline that every Emberdeep fight assumes. If wolves are deleting you, you are under-geared for the region boss — farm pelts, buy the Leathers, come back.
